The first Snowfall of the Season

This morning it snowed a little bit, Toby loves this a lot and what he likes to do the most is lay down with his belly in the snow while some more snow falls on him.

Brego sort of ignores the snow, he just keeps on harassing the rabbits, like he always does with or without snow.

And then later on Toby is still lays on the same spot.

We went for a cache today that was a 9 km walk in a nice area not to far from our home. Because of the snowfall it was extra beautiful.

The dogs were sniffing and sniffing, this always happens when snow has fallen, I'm wondering why. Perhaps they have to work harder to spot senses?

We found a hiding place for when it would snow a lot, but we didn't need it today.

The sun was shining and we really enjoyed the walk and the nice environment.

We walked through wood land...

And through moor land, where especially Brego and Toby went a little bit crazy as the next movie shows.


When we arrived at the last way point we ran into some Scottish Highlanders that were blocking the footpath.

First we had to pass the cattle grid and there was no place for the dogs to pass, so we had to carry them over the grid.

It is advised to keep at least 25 meters distance between the herd and not to walk through a herd, we decided to go back to the big path.

But once we were on the big path we saw that they were close by that path as well.

We decide to pass by them anyhow, since they didn't try to scare us away yet.

On of the young cows was really interested in us, you can see him behind me, but we decided not to wait upon his arrival and continue with our walk towards the cache.

We found the cache at 15:00.

And the guys where guarding the area while I logged our visit.
