Last visit Brego

This afternoon we went to see Brego and his littermates for the last time. The next time we'll drive that way (friday) we're gonna take him home with us.

In the next picture the breeder is preparing food for the puppies, and they all seem to be very hungry, some even jumped against the kitchendoors to get to the food.

2nd Birthday

Today Toby has his 2nd birthday.
This morning it started snowing a little bit, and that's what it was, a little bit.

Toby is waiting for more snow to come, but unfortunately it stopped snowing.

This afternoon Toby went on biking again with Rob and they went to the same lake they visited last friday. Last friday Toby could walk into the water, this week he could walk on the water. He was somewhat surprised searching where the water went.

In the beginning it was hard for him to walk on the ice but lateron it went better, and he wanted to walk further onto the ice, but Rob didn't allow that, because he wasn't really sure of the strength of the ice.


In this picture he is really searching for the water, and he actually licked the ice.

Jacky the Girl Nextdoor

Today, our neighbour was ill and Rob took their dog Jacky a Jack Russel for a walk. When they returned home Toby and Jacky played a while in and outside the house.
Jacky is a very quick girl and on some of the photo's you can see that Toby is looking for her. Where did she go?

Hmmmm, this smells like Toby.

Where is she, where is she?

Try to catch me if you can, but I'm much smaller and quicker so I think you cannot catche me.

Bench and Basket

In preparation for the arrival of our new puppie-friend Brego (just 9 days to go) we have placed the bench so that we and Toby can get used to that big thing in our livingroom. Toby didn't mind walking in and out of the bench as the next picture can tell.

Toby also likes to lay down in his dogbasket.

Does this look somewhat familiair. Brego likes this as well.

Then again we got two benches (one up and one downstairs) and we got two baskets (one up and one downstairs as well) so that's not going to be a problem.
Toby also likes to lay down on the couch, and we have decided that this one's big enough for the both of them.

And on the rabbit cage is plenty room as well.

And when all of these options don't work, they can always lay on our bed together.
Perhaps we have to find another place to sleep.

I think we are ready to receive Brego.

First Walk Brego

Today we visited Brego again. Toby went with us as well, he enjoyed the visit somewhat more than the previous times. We even managed to take some pictures of him and Brego together.

The owners of two other puppies were there as well and we took the puppies for their first walk. When we arrived in Maastricht the puppies already had their collar on. Later on we went for a walk, Brego was running or he was standing still. A couple of times he didn't like to walk in the direction I was taking him and he pushed the brake. But overal he did very well for the first time.

Friday

Today Rob didn't forget his photocamera and took some pictures. It was a very nice day, yesterday there was a heavy storm in the Netherlands but today the sun was shining. He and Toby went on biking to a small lake near where we live. Toby needed to go in the lake and drink some water.

When they returned back home you should expect that Toby was tired and needed to lay down. But no, not him, he wanted to play somewhat in our backyard.


And then later in the afternoon, they went to Rob's parents and there he played some more with Daisy their dog.

Brego's First Vaccination

Yesterday evening the puppies went to the vet for their first vaccination and checkup. They all passed.
For the first time in the car.

At the vet where they all want to get out of the bench.
